Jorge Santos, creatively known as Moss Head, is a Baltimore-based visual artist and musician.  Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Santos always felt a connection to art and music, and would often spend his time teaching himself how to play guitar and how to draw.   He moved to Baltimore, Maryland at age 18 to attend college at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where he found a new love for  electronic music and psychedelic art.

In 2018, Santos decided to transition into music production.  For his music, Moss Head likes to incorporate his guitar playing into his beats, which contain atmospheric  synths, and detailed drum loops; aiming to create meditative textural beats that bring the listener to a present headspace.  Moss Head's sound draws influences from EDM, indie rock, post-punk, psychedelia, lo-fi,  hip hop, indie pop, and ambient.

After two years of honing his craft, Santos finished and dropped his first project in 2020.  He produced Baltimore-based rapper Yoha's debut EP, Retrograde.

Moss Head is currently working on his debut solo EP, which is set to release sometime in 2021.
